Reference and Instruction Librarian
- Collaborate with support staff to complete routine operations and special projects, involving reference and instruction, collection development, technology management, circulation and patron service.
- Design information sessions and assessment materials and deliver classroom and online instruction in course-integrated and credit courses in Library and Information Science; Research; Composition; and Computer and Information Literacy.
- Embed in a wide variety of on-ground and online courses, using a Learning Management System (ANGEL) and LibGuides, to provide instruction, research assistance, and links to important information resources.
- Perform general and subject-specific reference and research services, both on-ground and online (ASK a Librarian) to a diverse population of students.
- Select, purchase, and promote materials for nine liaison areas:

- Manage and develop policies for reserve materials (Blackboard, distance learning and digitization).
- Oversee the main circulation desk, ILL and the media desk with a team of three.
- Supervise the circulation desk pre-professional interns and student associates.
- Answer all copyright questions from students, staff and faculty.
- Develop and teach copyright guidelines for Blackboard and distance learning.

- Promote campus wide initiatives through library resources using displays and marketing.
- Responsible for organization, publishing and distribution of Horn Library Annual Report and ITSD Update.
- Worked closely with the Math/Science faculty to facilitate their own research.
- Identified and purchased Math/Science materials including books, periodicals and databases.
- Provided instruction for Math/Science resources.
- Set up and maintained the Math/Science Blackboard courses.
- Purchase all popular reading, diversity and community titles.
- Work with the Chief Diversity Officer to bring inclusive programs to the Babson community.
- Maintain the New Book collection.
- Started and maintain Graphic Novel and “READ” Campaign collections.
- Mentor eleven incoming freshman, Posse Scholars (http://www.possefoundation.org/).
- Work with Posse Scholars from 14-25 hrs/week their freshman and sophomore years.
- Received special training in mentoring, facilitation and mediation.
- Participate in an advisory and training role with regards to Blackboard and copyright for distance learning.
