Goals May 2010-July 2010:
- Completed ANGEL Training through Level 2.
- Completed Disaster Preparedness Survey, Emergency Management, and Preventing Sexual Harassment training.
- Immersed in SPC culture through participation and outreach on campus and within the library in order to inform and enhance service.
- I have tried to go to everything that is happening since I’ve been here and meet anyone that is available to me.
- I volunteered for activities at the SE 50th anniversary celebration and volunteered for Quad activities at Gibbs.
- I have made an extra effort to reach out to the new Entrepreneurship Center at SE and help them achieve their goals.
- I designed a template for an Arts Newsletter that will be distributed campus wide. (project did not happen)
- I observed four library-instruction classes in order to learn about the way SPC librarians teach.
- Visited the TS, CL, HEC, and SPG libraries to meet staff and gain insight into the array of service models offered at the campus libraries.
- I have visited everywhere and am scheduled to visit Tarpon Springs.
- While at Clearwater, I sat at the reference desk and taught a PPT instruction to both the librarian on shift and a student.
Goals July 2010-July 2011:
- To continue to learn about and acquaint myself with the SPC culture and libraries by developing professional relationships and partnerships with other librarians, faculty and staff.
- As part of a two-woman team with Jennifer Gregor at Seminole, we have collaborated on teaching styles and assessment and worked very effectively team teaching and sharing the load.
- I have partnered effectively with Lynne Wolf of the Entrepreneurship and Career Center to mentor students on individual projects and support their projects.
- I have gone to and participated in every major student function and all the awards' ceremonies.
- To identify two committees that I would be an asset to and become a member of them if available.
- I served on the committee to hire two new Humanities faculty.
- I served on the "Entrepreneurship: The Think Behind the Idea" critical thinking committee.
- I served on the Entrepreneurship Business Plan Competition committee.
- To make contact with my entire liaison faculty and become embedded in at least four of their ANGEL courses, writing and posting research guides for their courses as needed.
- At the beginning of each semester I contacted all the faculty of my liaison departments with an email explaining and offering my services.
- I attended the departmental faculty meetings of the Business and Social Sciences departments.
- I attended the adjunct departmental meetings for Business and Social Sciences.
- Purchased for and developed the collection in my assigned areas and emailed targeted faculty when materials in their disciplines became available.
- Embedded in ANGEL for 20 different classes during Summer, Fall and Spring semesters with my contact information and Powerpoint presentations in another 15.
- To take the ASK-A-LIBRARIAN training and become part of the schedule.
- I completed the Ask-A-Librarian training and became part of the schedule.

- To help brainstorm, with other SE staff, outreach ideas to facilitate bringing more students into the SE library and create a collegiate environment for them to work in. This may be accomplished by creating several activities that demonstrate our resources and providing at least two new spaces or services that we can point to.
- I worked with a committee of librarians to develop the Top Ten Tweets as an orientation handout.
- As a team we did Welcome Back, meeting and greeting new and returning students and handing out library materials.
- We developed a three part teaching program consisting of library orientation, discovering compelling topics and a hands-on research session (team taught). We encouraged the students to follow up at the library with some success measured by our increased CLUE numbers..
- I produced collateral materials and displays for marketing our resources.
- For the public library staff development day, I demonstrated a new database that would be relevant, and I led the group in an exercise-at-your-desk session with a tri-fold handout including all the exercises.
- I presented to the librarians about my embedded librarian strategies.
- I worked with Lynne Wolf and the Entrepreneurship/Business faculty to create both a subject guide that was relevant to their concentration and a detailed guide to creating a Business Plan and Elevator Pitch.
- To create an Arts Newsletter working with the other arts liaisons, focusing on classroom innovations, projects, new facilities and faculty to be distributed once a semester (approx. three)
- This project was abandoned due to lack of support by key stake holders (the arts faculty and art library liaisons).
- I have pursued other liaison activities with the arts department on our campus such as email outreach and specific collection development.

New Goals July 2011-July 2012:
- To move from an affective-based assessment to a dual affective- and cognitive based assessment of our teaching.
- To continue to develop faculty, staff and student relationships.
- To expand and create a larger faculty buy in for our three-part teaching program.
- To create at least two planned activities for the library that would bring students in such as Database InfoBytes and One Book-One College activities.
- To co-sponsor events, such the ones above, with the SE Learning Support Commons.
- To develop study guides based on my PowerPoints for embedding in ANGEL and LibGuides.
- To continue to collaborate with Jennifer about improving services and outreach and move forward as a team to insure that the library is an active and vital part of the campus.
- To participate in at least three professional-development courses, including taking both required graduate courses and the SLS1101 and 1126 training.
